A new Chinese e-commerce site has gone live, and the biggest Chinese trading company is offering a new platform.
Atlas Trading is a platform where Chinese traders can buy and sell stocks.
It will allow Chinese companies to compete with other international companies for the global trading market.
“Our aim is to help China, which has a large number of companies operating in the Asia-Pacific region, become the leading trading platform of the future,” said Atlas CEO and founder, Jian Zhang.
The company has more than 40,000 customers and offers more than 100 trading platforms across China.
Atlas has a network of over 4,000 retail and financial companies.
It has raised $250 million in venture capital funding from investors including Chinese ecommerce company Alibaba Group, Chinese state-owned enterprises, Chinese internet giant Tencent, US-based investment bank Goldman Sachs and Singapore-based venture capital firm Khosla Ventures.
