The Chicago Cubs are acquiring righty pitcher Jordan Zimmerman from the Milwaukee Brewers, a league source told Yahoo Sports.

Zimmermann, 31, was in the midst of a seven-year, $85 million deal with the Cubs last offseason.

He is set to earn $13 million in 2017 and $18 million in 2018 with Milwaukee.

He was an eight-year major league veteran who went 9-1 with a 2.74 ERA in 2017 with the Pirates, Pirates, Marlins and Pirates.

He spent the past four seasons with the Brewers.

He has a 3.16 ERA in six appearances for Milwaukee.
